Hopes and dreams

I really hope that my dreams of becoming a successful chemical engineer will become true.
That my decision of studying in Unikl Micet is a right choice.

"Where hope would otherwise become hopelessness, it becomes faith. ~Robert Brault"

I want to make my parents proud, I want them to smile in tears when the see me walking on stage when I receive my certificate in degree, in Master and insya allah in pHD.

I also want to further my studies abroad. Because now, I am taking Diploma in chemical engineering. So, I want to continue my degree abroad.

By doing so, my dream of travelling all around the world can be achieve. I can study and travel at the same time.

I get to see other's culture, country, and also I can get new experience of living in other people country.

I also hope my friends and I can go trough this journey of being a student of chemical engineer together till the end.

I also want to see them success and we can have a bright future.

My friends are also my inspiration, my encouragement, my study mates, my play mates and a lot more.

Because we are living far away from home and we only have our friends to help us.

Thank you :)

Idolize

Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar al-Bukhary

Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Shah bin Syed Nor Al-Bukharyborn 1952) is the richest Bumiputra corporate figure in Malaysia. With involvement in diversified business areas which include transportation and logistics, plantations, property development, defense and armory as well as engineering and power generation, he has a net worth estimated to be US$2.75 billion according to Forbes, making him the 8th richest Malaysian.

A humble entrepreneur, often shying away from publicity and media. In his childhood, he found difficulties to do school revision because of the inadequate house facilities and small space. But that did not stop him from achieving his current status. Syed Mokhtar is a great giver; his very first salary received during his youth was divided by 2 halves – one for him, and another for charity. Companies that Syed Mokhtar al-Bukhary are affiliated with are MMC (utility, engineering, infrastructure, and logistics group), DRB-HICOM (automotive manufacturing, assembly and distribution), Tradewinds (plantation, agro-based and property sectors), Puncak Semangat (Telecommunications-4G) and many more which covers from Ports, Postal services, Banking.

Tan Sri Syed Mohktar al Bukhary is my mentor. He shows us that even though he came from a poor family, and having difficulties to studies during his youth, that did not stop him from being successful.

He never went to university. A whole lot of his knowledge and experience was gained through his own entrepreneurship experience during his youth time.  So comparing me with him, I have no excuses for not studying. I am now in a university and I got a lot of things to be learned in order to achieve my goals.

He showed that even tough with difficulties, everybody can be successful.
With a great determination, we can be outstanding and extraordinary.

In 10 years.....

10 years seem so long but it is actually not. In 10 years, I will be 28 and at that time I will already finish my studies. I will be a successful young chemical engineer and living with my beautiful family. Studying engineering is not easy. Actually, studying is never easy no matter what course we are taking. I'm studying chemical engineering, so of course I want to be an engineer. They always say that being an engineer for a woman is not easy and will never be easy. But if we believe in ourselves, anything could happen. Besides that, I also want to travel all around the world experiencing other's country culture, life styles and visits their beautiful historical places.

I

How am I going to be a successful engineer in 10 years time :

    • 1. I need to attend a four-year college and get a Bachelor of Science in engineering. It is the most basic requirement to become successful.
    •           2. I also need to excel in math. Core courses for engineers may include: Differential Equations, Calculus, and Physics for Engineering. Prerequisites for these classes range from basic Algebra to Analytical Geometry.
    •            3. I need to obtain a Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from a respected college or university (which I am doing now)
    •           4. Take the FE, or Fundamentals of Engineering, licensure exam offered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. Although licensure isn't mandatory, it may lead to greater success as a chemical engineer.
    •            5. Join the AICHE, or the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Attend professional conferences and stay on top of the latest news and research in my field.
    •            6. Take the Principles and Practice of Engineering exam in chemical engineering. This is the second exam required to obtain licensure as a professional chemical engineer. Taking the step to becoming a professional chemical engineer may place me in a higher salary range and allow me to work in more advanced chemical engineering positions.
    • That is some ways of how I am going to be an engineer. I really hope that I will achieve my goals and my dreams.

    • After I have become a successful engineer, I need to work hard so that I can become good and expert in engineer. Then, I can get a good position and great salary. After that, I can travel all around the world and experience many beautiful country with my love ones.

How do I achieve my vision

Making dreams a reality doesn’t have to be difficult. It only requires a few things:
  • Believing in yourself.
  • Mapping your dreams.
  • And taking small action steps everyday.
Here is a few steps how to achieve  my visions.

1. Create A Life List

“Happiness is like a butterfly; the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder…” ~Thoreau
Write down everything I have been dreaming of doing in my life. Life list is a place to record our dreams; a place where we can be accountable to ourselves.
Once I created my life list, something magical happened. I started to make my dreams a reality by completing once small task everyday. There is something powerful about the act of writing down your dreams on paper. They feel more tangible and real.

2. Turn Dreams into Reality

“Whatever you do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it now.” ~W.H. Murray
By writing down my dreams, I have taken a number of steps towards making them a reality. For instance, since I wrote my life list last year of becoming a chemical engineer. I studied hard during my school years and happily saying I am what I have been planning during these past few years. The idea of me becoming a chemical engineer is slowly becoming true. I am studying in chemical engineering course now and I will make sure I will finish my studies with flying colour and get a good job.
Anything is possible, you just have to make it a priority.

3. Make A Vision Map

“Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it.” ~Eckhart Tolle
A vision map is one way to help define and visualize what I want my future to look like. It’s one way to make my dreams and goals tangible.
Creating a vision map is fun and simple. I only need:
  • Crayons or colorful pens
  • Magazines
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Poster board
Start going through the magazines and look for images that resonate with me. Once I find the images, cut them out and glue them onto the poster board. The options are endless.
Think about my vision map and consider creating a time-line for the future I see.

4. Focus on Daily Intentions

By narrowing down my to-do list, I can accomplish a lot. This is a simple and easy way to increase my productivity and embrace my creative genius. By focusing on a few small steps everyday, I will get closer to accomplishing the tasks on my life list. Remember to focus on activities that make me happy.

5. Start Loving Life Now

Working on my life list, vision map and daily intentions is a lot of fun. Setting goals and making plans is a positive activity. However it’s essential to live mindfully.
Sometimes goals won’t be accomplished and that’s okay. I think we all have a tendency to get wrapped up in future plans. It’s easy to forget how amazing life is.

About me

This is my first post after a long time. The last time i have been blogging was back in 2011. That was when I was in form 3. But in 2012, I got accepted in boarding school which is MRSM Alor Gajah, Melaka. Since then, i have stop blogging because we are forbidden to use Internet in boarding school.

But now that I have finish school, I get to be a blogger again.
Now I am studying at UniKL Micet, Alor Gajah. I guess Melaka and I cannot be separated. 2 and a half years in Melaka and still counting :'D
I'm actually living at Kajang, Selangor but was born in Johor.

So, I'm taking Diploma in chemical engineering (process) here at Unikl Micet. I decided to take this course because of chemistry. I started to like studying chemistry back in when I was in form 4. Actually I love chemistry because I scored chemistry the highest compared to 2 other science subjects that is Physics and Biology. Also, one of my 5 brothers is a chemical engineer and he inspired me to be a chemical engineer just like him. My broher's name is Muhammad Safwan. He was an ex-student at UniKL Micet before he went to United Kingdom to continue his degree and master. Now that he graduated, he is now working at private company in Kuala Lumpur.

I'm now in Semester 2 and frankly speaking semester 2 is way harder than semester 1. More subjects, more classes and more assignments also more laboratory works. Also my friends and I are living outside of Micet because the hostels is being used by semester 1 new students. Beside thinking about classes we also have to think about money.... and transportation... and bills...

But that is the life of a student, no challenge, no fun.
